The motion of a journey often gives me cozy little personal
epiphanies, igniting a spark of thought that then begins to glow warmer and
warmer into the night.
The notion of a journey being a bite-sized life fans the
flames.
Even before the destination arrives, this merry fire keeps
crackling inside a corner of my mind, keeping me warm through the long hours in
transit. Sometimes I travel mainly out
of a desire to feed these flames.
Visiting the sites at destination point then becomes merely an excuse.
Thus grew the title of this blog: Wanderstanding Life, as in
Wandering and Understanding Life.
Life, after all, is a journey. Few of us are lucky enough to find time and
resources to travel the world and take in its endless beauty. All of us, however, have the ability to take
inner journeys. This blog is a chronicle
of some such journeys – both across the lands and inside the mind. If it makes even a single person pause in his
steps in order to turn around and travel a road not taken, these stories would have served
their purpose.
